  • White Mountains
    White Mountains
    30 images
Nature and adventure photographs from New Hampshire's White Mountains. 2011 marks the 100th anniversary of the Weeks Act, the law that established the White Mountain National Forest and paved the way for the establishment of all national forests east of the Mississippi River. We have written two books about the White Mountains: Discover the White Mountains and White Mountain Wilderness. These adventure and landscape photographs are now available as stock and fine art prints.
  • Acadia National Park
    Acadia National Park

Photographs of Maine's Acadia National Park, New England's most visited national park. We have written three books about Acadia: Discover Acadia, Wild Acadia, and A Photographer's Guide to Acadia. Several photos were taken on assignment or while working on the books. All are available as stock photography and fine art prints.

    Connecticut River Watershed

The Connecticut River is New England's longest river (410 miles) and largest watershed (7.2 million acres.) We have spent more than 100 days documenting the watershed in pictures. These images were shot on assignment for The Trust for Public Land and The Nature Conservancy, and are now available as stock photographs and fine art prints. Shot in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

My 0630 photos are images shot for my tumblr blog, ecophotography.tumblr.com. These are images I shot (almost) daily at (almost) 6:30 a.m. Many are made with an iPhone, some with traditional DSLR gear. All are available as stock photographs and fine art prints.
  • Meet Your Neighbours
    Meet Your Neighbours
    34 images
These images were made as part of a global conservation photography initiative called Meet Your Neighbours (for more info, visit http://www.meetyourneighbours.org). I made this batch of photos in partnership with the Seacoast Science Center in Rye, New Hampshire (http://www.seacoastsciencecenter.org/).
  • New Hampshire Seacoast
    New Hampshire Seacoast

Stock photos of landscape, city, and recreation scenes near my home on the New Hampshire Seacoast. I'm fortunate to have easy access to so many great photography opportunities.
  • Kids Outside
    Kids Outside
    19 images
A sampling of the photography I've done featuring kids in the great outdoors. Children have a great way of interacting with nature on their own terms, whether they are hiking, fishing, biking, skiing, or just looking for little critters. In my experience, they usually make the pictures happen on their own. Shot in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
